No one wants to be fired....

You never know how a child is going to take something you say.  The other day Mike and I were talking about what might happen if he was fired from his job.  I guess the girls were listening.  While sitting around the dinner table later that day, a very serious Maggie Ruth said "Mommy, if Spencer fires us, the police will help us."  She and her sisters were very worried.  To them "being fired" meant being set on fire.  I have since tried to explain to them the actual meaning.  I'm still not sure they get it.
